HMRC has updated their website and the online service to claim the fourth self-employment income support grant (SEISS) has now opened. You must claim on or before 1 June 2021.
The link to HMRC website is here. You will need your UTR number, NI number, Government Gateway log on details and your bank details.
The grant covers the period from 1 February 2021 to 30 April 2021, providing similar support to the earlier grants, set at 80% of three months’ average trading profits, capped at £7,500 and paid as a single instalment.
As a reminder you must have annual profits of no more than £50,000 in tax year 2019/20, or average annual profits of no more than £50,000 in prior years, with more than 50% of your annual income from self-employment, and must have lost income as a result of the pandemic. Taxpayers commencing self-employment after 5 April 2020 will not be eligible.
